The FIA Formula 1 GP of Bahrain, first Round of the 2022 FIA F1 World Championship, was the stage of a meeting between ARISF and UIM President Raffaele Chiulli and the new FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
The role of Sport as a catalyst for progress and the potential of the common platform of the motor sports for the exchange of experiences and best practices between the international governing bodies FIA, FIM, UIM and FAI were in the center of their discussion, and they agreed on the goal to raise the level of cooperation across all disciplines of motorized sports and to capitalize on related synergies.
They identified new key areas of interest to be addressed to strengthen the cohesion between the motor sport federations, in particular the development of best practices in the field of safety, the commitment towards a more sustainable future, the implementation of green technologies and to render the sport more inclusive.
With so many areas for positive collaboration, the two Presidents underlined the importance of continuing to work together to build on the foundations of this initial meeting.
